Fidalgo Swing Artist Bio: Jake Baird

    Michigan native Jake Baird has been playing bass with Fidalgo Swing since2002 and also helped to create the band. Originally an electric rock musician, Jake became interested in jazz while studying at WMU in Kalamazoo, MI.  After moving to the west coast, Jake left behind the busier rock/jazz fusion rhythms of the midwest and embraced the local flavor of relaxed straight-ahead jazz and swing. With his strong drive there is no need for a drummer.
